Steve had been Salsa dancing for around five months, and had formed several friendships. One in particular was Kristi’s housemate at the time. During the summer months of 2005 Steve was invited to a BBQ round their house, where he and Kristi met for the first time.

Kristi was eventually persuaded by her housemate to take up Salsa as well. They started dancing in Telford, but soon were heading to places in Birmingham, Chester and Shrewsbury.

It took a further six months of dancing together and getting to know each other, before they started dating. Since then they have been virtually inseparable. Kristi moved in with Steve in September of 2006 and Steve popped the question in November 2007.
